ABOUT USMr. Phil Kaspari is the Agricultural Extension Agent with the
University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service in Delta Junction
Mr. Kaspari has been a resident of Delta since 1984. He graduated from North Dakota
State University at Fargo in 1984 with a Degree in agronomy and immediately out of
school accepted employment helping with the development of a farm in the Sawmill Creek
area. This involved initial land clearing through to the production and marketing of
potatoes.
Mr. Kaspari has worked in the commercial production of grain, grass seed, hay and
livestock.
He has been a committee member of Deltas Farm Bureau Noxious Weed Program
since its beginning in 1995. He also serves on the Salcha Delta Soil and Water
Conservation District, Highways End Farmers Markets, and is an active member of the Delta
Farm Bureau. Mr. Kaspari assisted in the implementation of the Alaska Certified Noxious
Weed Free Forage Program as an instructor for an inspector certification course and
continues to discuss the program at different venues.
