ABOUT
USMr. Phil Kaspari is the Agricultural Extension
Agent with the University of Alaska Cooperative Extension Service
in Delta Junction
.Mr. Kaspari is a 22 year resident of Delta. He graduated from
North Dakota State University at Fargo in 1984 with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in agronomy.
He was hired immediately out of school to help with the
development of a farm in the Sawmill Creek area, which involved
initial land clearing through to the production and marketing of
potatoes.
Mr. Kaspari has also worked in grain and grass seed production
for Mike and Scott Schultz, and for the past 14 years he has been
a commercial hay producer.
He has been a committee member of Delta’s Farm Bureau
Noxious Weed Program since it’s beginning in 1995, and this is
his sixth year with the Cooperative Extension Service. He also
serves on the Salcha Delta Soil and Water Conservation District,
Highways End Farmers Markets, and is an active member of the Delta
Farm Bureau. Assisted in the implementation of the Alaska
Certified Noxious Weed Free Forage Program as an instructor for an
inspector certification course and discussing the program at
different venues.
